Known as ‘TJ’, defender Timothy Eyoma operated mainly as a right-sided centre-half during his early days but was converted into a right full-back for the 2016-17 campaign - his first at Under-18 level.
He was ever-present in our run to the FA Youth Cup semi-finals, scoring in the third round win over Stevenage, and featured 11 times in the Under-18 Premier League, memorably captaining the side and scoring in a 2-1 win at Arsenal in March, 2017.
He also got a taste of European action, starting five of our six matches in the Under-19 UEFA Youth League, the fixtures for which mirrored those of the first team in the Champions League.
An IMG Cup winner in Florida with our Under-18s in December, 2016, he also stepped up to make one start and two substitute appearances for our Under-23s in the Premier League 2.
TJ was born and raised in Hackney and attended Highbury Grove School.
He played for his school and district sides and, in 2015-16, played twice for our Under-18s where, in his second appearance, against Arsenal, he came up against his older brother Aaron.
Additionally, he has featured for England Under-15s, Under-16s and Under-17s, including playing every game apart from the final at the European Under-17 Championship in May, 2017, where the Young Lions ultimately lost out on penalties to Spain. However, he made up for the disappointment of that tournament by winning the FIFA Under-17 World Cup with England in India in October, 2017.
