Our six-shooters created Club history at Leicester City on Thursday night.
Heung-Min Son's first goal of his double in the sublime 6-1 win against the Foxes took him to 21 goals for the season (14 in the Premier League) and means that for the first time, we have three players hitting 20-plus goals in all competitions in one campaign.
Harry Kane's four-goal salvo moved him beyond 30 goals again (26 in the Premier League, 32 in total) while Dele Alli already has 21 (17 in the Premier League).
We've had some close calls before. Not surprisingly, the 'double' season of the First Division title and FA Cup in 1960-61 saw four players approaching 20 goals, but only two got over the line in top-scorer Bobby Smith (33) and Les Allen (27). Cliff Jones was a goal away on 19 while Terry Dyson hit 17.
Our UEFA Cup winning campaign of 1971-72 saw goals galore led by Martin Chivers on 42, including his famous double in the UEFA Cup Final first leg at Wolves. Alan Gilzean followed him in with 21 but Martin Peters was just short on 17.
That was the case again in more recent times when Dimitar Berbatov (23) and Robbie Keane (21) went past 20 in 2006-07 but Jermain Defoe was two goals short on 18.
