Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen both scored twice as we made a welcome return to winning ways with a comfortable 5-0 victory over Swansea City at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon.
The visitors had Lukasz Fabianski to thank for keeping them in the game in the opening stages as he made excellent saves to deny Kane and Kyle Walker, before we opened the scoring in the 39th minute, Kane converting from the penalty spot after Kyle Naughton was adjudged to have tripped Dele.
Heung-Min Son produced a moment of magic to double our lead in first-half stoppage time, firing an acrobatic volley past Fabianski, and Kane ensured a fast start to the second period when he grabbed his second on 49 minutes to put us firmly in control.
It was one-way traffic for most of the second half and Swansea struggled to contain our attacking forays, Eriksen netting his second goal in as many games in the 70th minute.
Swansea failed to have a single shot on target in the game while at the other end, Fabianski was single-handedly keeping us out. But he couldn’t prevent the fifth goal in added time, Eriksen with a neat finish from the edge of the area to cap an excellent team performance.
